Research is a key part of the investment process, and our focus is always on the practical application of research for the benefit of our fund managers and clients. We have a strong international and multilingual research team including country, sector and technical specialists from a variety of backgrounds. The team undertakes comprehensive market and portfolio analysis, covering both direct and indirect property, and manages externally commissioned research.

The Research team works closely with API’s direct and indirect property fund and asset managers in developing and implementing investment strategy, and in transaction decisions. Analysts and fund/asset managers sit together to facilitate communication. Senior members of the Research team are involved in the direct and indirect property Investment Committees, and senior fund and asset managers work with the research team in developing market house views and investment themes. This ensures both a closeness to the market, and a high level of buy-in from the whole team.
